Cloning on TV
Did anyone see the recent program about Panos Zavos on terrestrial television in the UK. There was a big hype about it having the first documented evidence of a cloned human embryo, which was later changed to specify it was the first for reproductive purposes . In the end they had only one embryo which they froze down before it even reached the 16 cell stage. How can people give so much publicity to such incredibly poor science. Even in the NT work on sheep half of the embryos die after the 16 cell stage. It seems incredibly premature to present this work as anything other than an exercise in parting the gullible with their cash.
