The greatest trick the Devil/God ever pulled... 1) Was to convince Humans that they live in Sin 2) Was to convince Humans that they have to believe in God to be let into heaven 3) Was to convince Humans that they can not reach God 4) Was to convince Humans that they are of no interest to God 5) Was to convince Humans that they read the word of God in the Bible 6) Was to convince Humans that they are not connected to God at all times 7) Was to convince Humans that only the physical is real 8) Was to convince Humans that they are only right in numbers, democrazy 9) Was to convince Humans that they are not immortal 10) Was to convince Humans that they can not find the Truth I am sure you can add more. Notice the difference between the head title and the subtitle which I have changed, if a moderator can change the title as seen in the forum to the new and improved one.
The greatest trick the Devil/God ever pulled... This is the title I would like to have. DD - Love Spliff |

Yes, I tend to believe I am eternal and infinite in my Is-ness I can't say for sure we aren't, some say that Life continues after physical death. Maybe we are? DD - Love Spliff |

Suppose I wrote a computer program that, by all of our definitions, had consciousness. And I show you the exact algorithms that were used in creating the consciousness. Would that not explain it physically? |

Just because something hasn't been explained physically, doesn't mean that it's not physical. A few hundred years ago, lightning couldn't be explained physically. A few thousand years ago, it was fire. It's just a matter of time before we understand the nature of the links between the nerve cells in our brain.
Sure, most likely. An interesting observation is that Stephen Hawking says through the Quantum Theory that evry Atom is connected through a web of connectedness. This connectedness could be what you Realise when you get enligthened via using your consiousness in pratical ways. The Light that you get could be that your conciousness reaches teh speed of Light and thus you are evrtywhere at once. Suppose I wrote a computer program that, by all of our definitions, had consciousness. And I show you the exact algorithms that were used in creating the consciousness. Would that not explain it physically? Yes, would it explain why we are here discussing these things? If we use your creator analogy to our Reality, then we are programmed to alter the programming ala Matrix or we have the possibility to alter the Matrix. Do you want that power? Some say it is true. I'm sorry. I am not familiar with this word god. Is that some sort of dog--just mis-spelled. I like dogs. It is a cute dog?
As for "Devil", isn't that a professional sports team? Are we talking about practical jokes the players do? I am so confused! |

No. Algorithms are not physical either.
Neither are the laws we use to decribe reality, the Law is not real, Reality is Real. DD - Love Spliff |
