From the atricle:
"500-gallon pool of pristine, cool water" Not anymore it isn't. That water must be disgusting by now. Unless it's got a filter or gets dumped and refilled every other day or so it would be full of dirt and American ball sweat. Eeeew! |

Is this chaplain performing what he believes to be a sacrament, or is he practicing magic? "Just step into my magic pool, and no matter what your state of mind/heart ... presto! You're locked into the religion of all eternity!"

Sooo, 2.5 hours of Xian ramblings for a dousing in water without any soap or shampoo? Nah, I think I'd pass. I'd just wait for the next rain or river.

Heh. I think I'd remain dirty. And sit next to the Good Chaplain as often as possible.

If this is the case, then it is wrong.
As a Christian I get very upset with gimmicks like this. Just present the truth, and let people accept it or reject it. Even those who reject it are worthy of a bath. There is a church in our community that has a massive Easter Egg hunt every year the Saturday before Easter. Everyone who comes to the Easter Egg hunt has a chance to win cool prizes like a new bike or a PS2. But you can't win them unless you come back on Sunday and sit through the service. In my opinion, this is very wrong. Get rid of the gimmicks, just go for the truth. Kevin |
