As a Christian I get very upset with gimmicks like this. Just present the truth, and let people accept it or reject it. Even those who reject it are worthy of a bath.

There is a church in our community that has a massive Easter Egg hunt every year the Saturday before Easter. Everyone who comes to the Easter Egg hunt has a chance to win cool prizes like a new bike or a PS2. But you can't win them unless you come back on Sunday and sit through the service. In my opinion, this is very wrong.

Get rid of the gimmicks, just go for the truth.

I think you're the first person I've heard to express this sentiment. Nearly all other Christians I know are willing to do just about anything to get the unwilling in the door - after all, Christ can't work in their lives if they don't come to him, first. This is the reason churchs try those gimmicky things like Christian Rock Worship Hour and those candy-coated vacation Bible school things.

Thanks for the compliment. I just don't think that deceit and trickery is needed to present the story of Jesus. Just tell the story and let people accept it or reject it as is.
