If your god had a watch what would he say if you asked him the time?
For those theists who are presents or people who believe that only the perceived "present" is the seat of reality. Unlike myself who is an eternalist and believe all events are equally real.
Then would their god be some time of time keep and if they asked him the time he would gaze at his watch and tell them the GMT of the universe. But of course this would imply there are in infinite number of realms where he does not exist. He no longer exists in the world at the moment of creation because he only exists in a perceived present moment. |

IF an omnipresent being did exist and IF you were able to commune with this being, should you be inclined (on occasion) to ask it "what time is it", it would answer with whatever time is most relevant to you.
btw & fyi, it is "NOW". |

I'm assuming this watch has a minute hand, a millenium hand, and an eon hand, right?

God would say
"Don't ask me for the bloody time, you gomeral. I'm eternal and infinite. I exist outside of time and throughout all of time. Remember that I am frigging God, not some animal like you."

"But,beloved,be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a 1000 years, and a 1000 years as one day."
[2nd Peter-3:8] I think God would say,..."Be back in 5 minutes." Which is about 3 years in our time. This is just what i feel will occur, from much studying of Bible prophecy. It will come as a 'thief in the night'--when no one is expecting it. "And that servant who knew his Lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes. "But he that knew not,and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whom much is given,of him shall much be required:and to whom men have committed much,of him will they ask more." [Luke-12:47-48] It appears from Jesus' words that many believers who knew better will be dealt more harshly with than those unbelievers who perhaps repented at the last moment. Even those 11th hour converts will receive just as much as those lifelong disciples. Speaking of which,it's about 5 till midnight at this present time, and the clock is getting ready to chime! Not exactly a time for fun and jesting... "It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. "For as the crackling of thorns under a pot,so is the laughter of the fool:this also is vanity." [Ecclesiastes-7:5-6] Vanity? As if we didn't know? And those 'thorns' will be crushed and trampled underfoot, and the cackling will last but for a moment, but the finality will be eternal. BTW--Israel became a nation again after almost 2000 years in May 15,1948. From this time is when many scholars agree the final age began. And since Christ was actually born around 6 BC,then 2000 was really in 1994,give or take. |

"For as the crackling of thorns under a pot,so is the laughter of the fool:this also is vanity." Umm, are you inferring that some of us here are "fools"? "For as the pissing into the wind, so is the quoting of scripture inferring they are "fools" to atheists: this also is considered rude." From this time is when many scholars agree the final age began. And doubtlessly "many scholars" don't agree. What's your point? |
