Robotic Surgery
This is really cool. Do you want to watch a robot perform surgery?

My apologies. I just realized that you need to register at that site to view the article (it's free though!). I registered months ago and have been able to walk right in ever since.

On people. Kind of neat. Not the first robotic surgeries on people (I think the USSR had some automated cutting on radial carotonomy (spelling is probably wrong - the surgical refocusing of the eye, like laser surgery now), but a step forward.
Not that I would want a doctor 2000 miles away controlling this thing, but it may be a step in the right direction. Simian |

Just think; one day I'll be able to take care of my patients in the middle of the night without even having to get out of bed.
