[amos]The invisibility of her Holy Nature is merely a manifestation of our egos across the Spritual Plane. The pink symbolizes our unwillingness to let go of said egos, much like a person with bad breath is unwilling to give up their pink after-dinner mint. When the New Jerusalem comes to Earth, we shall become one with the IPU and understand the glory of her invisible-pink duality.[/amos]

No but seriously I'm pretty sure whoever developed the IPU intentionally made the defining characteristics contradictory, much like the omnimax. Very clever, IMO. It would just be too mean if we actually made the IPU more logical than Yahweh.

I can see by the replies why the contradiction works, I had just wondered if it was intentional. It's not like us to not want to be "mean" to Yahweh. Heehee. I am in tears (laughing?) at these replies. Very clever, IMO, too!

He said "You probably don't believe in the power of crystals [ya' think?!], but this will help keep negative energy away from you." Um, I thought we'd just determined that I wasn't the one who has the problem with negative energy
I can relate to this. Some raggedy smoker with pasty white face and sunken black eyes approaches me and ask whether I would like a charm for 'virility, love or luck?' And I thought, in my usual cynical way, 'whoaa, these must really work! have one on me sweetheart'

Here is a nicer one. I was on the phone to this girl I know and she was telling me about a lucky crystal she had bought from some unearthly mystic. Now, Ironically, she had actually lost the crystal but, during our conversation, she says: 'wow! I've just found my lucky crystal' Being the romantic type I took that as a compliment. So, was it lucky that she found it, or was the charm pointing out the source of the luck; ie: me *ahem* swell

well, bless all your hearts. That's my charm for the day/night.

And who are we, mere mortals, that we should question the nature of the IPU? Such is beyond our understanding. Read her words (spoken to me just now): "I am pink, that I am pink."
I pink, therefore I am.

Not to mention a lot more interesting. The Holy Books of the IPU (PBUH) are incredibly funny, and very straight forward.

No one needs to worry about falling asleep. The IPU knows how to make worship fun!

PRAISE THE IPU (PBUH)!!!!

I see people normally refer to the IPU as a female, but how can we be so sure what sex it is, or if it is even confined, as we mere mortals are, to one sex. The IPU is completely unknowable to us mortals, therefore, we cannot know what sex it is, but we can be sure that it is omni-invisible, omni-pink, and omni-unicorn, but in a very unfathomable way to us. And of course, we are absolutely certain that the IPU exists, despite our lack of knowledge of what exactly it is, for if our faith ever faltered, we would surely suffer the consequences in the afterlife.

Okay my ignorance is shining through. What's PBUH? And while I'm asking for acronym definitions, what does IIRC stand for? I thought I was pretty up to speed on the acronyms, but those are two I haven't seen before.

IIRC (If I Recall Correctly) I think PBUH is Peace Be Upon Her. It's a take on some Muslim thing that gets put after someone says Muhammad.

Cool Re: 2 Topics: on unicorns, sort of.

Belief in the Invisible Pink Unicorn (PBUHHH*) is based on both knowledge and faith. We know She is invisible because we cannot see Her. We have faith that She is pink.

I could be wrong, but I think PBUH = Praise Be Unto Her
