Talking Changed a Mind!

Woohoo!

Managed to change someone's mind re. the pledge in another forum. The concession finished like this...

Quote:
Liquid: SHUT UP! SHUT UP!

MAKE THE HURTING STOP!
unfortunately:

1) This was with an intelligent poster

2) It took an hour

3) Their position was only as far away as that of the dissenting judge (i.e. de minimus).

If it's that painful for him, with the fundies... no hope...

Anyone else had any luck?

No luck, I've been talking to people on other forums, and as soon as I show the slightest bit of being right, that person leaves and another one fills his place WITH THE EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS I JUST DISPROVED, IN THE SAME THREAD. Sometimes I get bored, but I must end the bigotry.

Don't you love it when they just flee instead of honorably conceding defeat?

And when new opponents begin rehashing old arguments, you should simply link to your old replies.
