Anyone want to address this post.....
in this forum? Let's just say I'm not at the level some of you guys in here when it comes to biology. We need some excellent atheist debaters over there. I guess I'm getting tired of being overwhelmed by creationists. I'm getting burnt out but I don't want these liars to go unchallenged.
Help?! Here's the thread. The post is the long one second from the bottom. Theforce.net The dinosaur bone find in Montana I've already addressed before as a bogus claim. Bogus in the sense that it doesn't indicate that it is a young find and that dinosaurs were roaming the earth a thousand years ago. Thanks for your time. Please invade the boards. There's at least a couple of people over there who know what they're talking about. And the cretins are no better (probably not as good, even) as those that show up over here.
The following in one of the posts has to be one of the strangest creationist statements I've ever seen: I don't believe in evolution. I think there are certain common misconceptions about evolution. For one, people seem to think we are descended from chimps or something, whereas in fact we have a common ancestor (or so I understand it). I do not believe that. I do believe in changes over time though. Believes in changes over time, but doesn't believe in evolution? Heh heh snicker snicker. |

No, that even on something so far removed from the Evo/Cre debate as the STAR WARS boards can get sucked into such topics. Incredible; first some pissant little UNC fan board, now a STAR WARS movie site. Isn't there a new Ep II trailer to dominate the conversation? --W@L |

I'm willing to discuss the trailer but I can't stand it when bs from the AIG site is spread. I've already argued the crystalized heme in the dinosaur bone find with another creationist. The AIG took the find out of context and tried to make it look like the find proved a young earth and that it was complete blood cells. What the site didn't mention is the scientist who made the find is an OEC and said the age of the bones was a over a hundred million yrs. Creationists seem to come in swarms. I get sick of arguing the samething over and over again. Of course you guys probably do too. [ March 11, 2002: Message edited by: Bane ]
|

I looked at a few other threads at the star wars site and found an active neo-Nazi discussion going on as well as the creationists. I didn't have time to cross check the partisipants.

I tried to leap in, but the topic was closed soon after. The level of discussion was even lower than that offered by most of the creationists that I have seen here. Sad.

Hehehe, looks like a few of you have been posting.
Thanks! It's nice to have a few intelligent people on there who know what they are talking about. I saw Peez post in the closed thread. Who is Radical_fringe and Simulation? I hope you'll stick around. MrDarwin: I thought I read an interview with her that she stated she was OEC. This was months ago when I was debating another creationist about the find. I may be mistaken though. |
