Heh, he's got a good point though. If you don't like the government schools you should simply move your kids. Now with school vouchers such a move wouldn't be as much of a financial burden. It simply leads to more freedom all around.

I'm always amazed at how readily people suggest removing your kids from schools as a solution to whatever problem they perceive. If you have the luxury and talent to home school your kids, they might do ok. If private schools are available, that might do. Neither is an option for me.
And on top of that, we've been lucky enough to have had nothing but great experiences with public schools. The only thing I can think of that would make them better would be for all the xians to leave, so I'm all for having them abandon the schools to me and my ilk. |
