Thumbs up Jesus is missing!

I saw my mother the other day and she asked me how my back was feeling. I said "huh" and she informed me that a 200 pound brass crucifix had been stolen from the La Salette shrine down the street.

Many of you may remember the <a href="http://www.boston.com/dailynews/254/region/Brass_crucifix_stolen_from_LaS:.shtml" target="_blank">La Salette shrine</a> from this picture:

I honestly don`t have any idea where this hideous crucifix is but I say "good riddance to bad rubbish". Surely they can get the estimated $3000 from Shrubs "faith based" money grab bag to replace it.

Does your mother usually accuse you of larceny?
If so, you have my sympathies.

No kidding. The only times I think I've had a similar facial expression as the frontal teen depicted was during sex and when Rush played the prelude to "Hemispheres" on the Counterparts tour.

What Ab_Normal said. Being accused of criminal behavior like that by your own mother must truly suck.
200 lb of brass would have some value on the scrap-metal market I think, has she considered that as a motive rather than atheism?

My mother was just kidding about me stealing the cross. She knows how much I detest the LaSalette shrine and all other Christian fantasy parks (She`s heard MANY of my rants) and was just making a joke.

I personally think some kids stole it and took advantage of the very windy storm that passed by on Tuesday. There wouldn`t have been anyone outside to witness the crime with all the branches and shit that were flying around.

That photo is eerie...It brings to mind those nice kids from <a href="http://www.culturevulture.net/Movies4/VillageoftheDamned.htm" target="_blank">Village of the Damned</a> (as well as <a href="http://www.brightlightsfilm.com/28/badseed.html" target="_blank">The Bad Seed</a> ).

OHHHH! You mean he really isn't missing? I thought that's why people are always asking if you've, "found Jesus!"
