I suppose I'm lucky in that respect. Our public broadcaster, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is reasonably closely affiliated with the BBC, so we tend to get quite a few of the BBC programmes here. Actually, the programming on the ABC is so good with respect to news, current affairs, documentaries and drama that I hardly watch any commercial television any more. (Plus there is the added bonus of no advertising).

I think you'll love Blue Planet. Another really good one to look out for in that genre is Wolves of the Sea, which is a Sir Dave one about orcas. Also, if you can get a look at it, yet another good one is Life in the Freezer, in which Sir Dave tells us about the Antarctic - of particular interest to me, given that I work at the Australian Antarctic Division!

Thanks Prax! I "adopted" an orca. I basically sent in a form years ago with some money to help to rehabilitate some sick orcas. They are truly magnificent creatures...so I would love that one about them...

I like the discovery channel out here they have some good shows.

Nils perspirandum, Amie.

Orcas truly are magnificent - and one of the most intelligent of all whales.

I think that the Discovery Channel is available here too, but I don't have pay tv. Maybe one day, when I'm rich.

Goodnight Prax Goodnight all!

My computer is making some hiddeous noises. It sounds like the space shuttle getting ready for take off. Well maybe I'll just climb on, I've always wanted to see Mars...
also I think I hear it hissing at me. The only thing worse than a computer making hiddeous noises is a pissed off computer making hiddeous noises.
I am logging off, I am tired anyways and hopefully I can figure out what the hell this noise is. I just cleaned my fans so this is creepy...

You're using a rhetorical question to state your opinion that homosexual Christians "live and display a demeanor totally contradictive to biblical teachings" which is a prejudicial and hostile position typical of so much fundamentalism which does not stand up.

Quote:
Another thing is, is that CF is a Christian Forum and Apologetics is about contending the faith, if someone is prominently saying that they are gay and do not believe the scriptures yet say they are Christian, well then that person has garnered the attention of Christians that see this as living in complete sin and being derrogatory to the faith by so grossly misrepresenting it.
Yet many Christians disagree with that. If it was "fundamentalist forum" it'd be truth in advertising. There are many other types of Christians besides fundamentalists. It is hypocritical and base for fundamentalists to constantly attack homosexuals while they ignore the divorced and remarried, which, if you're as fundie as you claim to be about homos, is an equal sin by that reckoning. The contant harping on homosexuality by fundamentalists is offensive and hateful. No one who is not a homosexual has a legtimate reason to memorize those few snippets of scripture that appear to condemn homosexuals except to stock up on ammunition.

Hey guys! Gnnysgt just linked this thread to the News forum in CF. What you say here does on the board at CF, at least for awhile. If those of you that're still banned have anything to say to the folks at CF, now is the time.

interesting indeed.... if they can be bothered to read allthoroughout. Tell me, can they ban me for saying things on this forum? such as.... oh, i dont know, the only purpose in doing this was to alert others with their mob mentality to cast out those whom have dared to criticise the poor establishment, out of control mods, among other things? i guess we'll find out.

We'll see. They've known about it for some time, and I was approached about the matter. I somehow doubt this was a resolution approved by the administrators. So, I doubt it will last. I am serious about my suggestion though. There are lots of amusing things we can do with this, but the most constructive might be to get the people who have been banned on here to say their peace.

I'm going to have to bless Gnnysgt for this.
