No , not equally. Most of the Bible is incomprehensible unless you apply metaphorical meaning....i.e YEC, Global Flood, Original Sin. So, the literal meaning takes the back seat. With the Qur'an the Literal meaning predominates with some metaphorical meaning being (interspersed) sometimes of secondary importance. The overall message of the Qur'an is clear and doesnt waste time wrestling with topics like Young Earth or Original Sin. Most people here think I'm making random stuff up..and believe my allegorical interpretation is a cop out. But I bet few here realize that the whole Qur'an (arabic) actually rhymes. The Qur'an is somewhere between prose and poetry. It isnt actually poetry ( because poets speak out of desire, as stated in Quran) because it violates the 7 laws of "human" poetry adopted by arabs at the time. The Qur'an is on a class of its own. |

The Taliban group's leader Mulla Umar, responsible for singlehandedly destroying Islam's name.....is actually prophecised as the "one-eyed man from Khurasan"...in Hadiths. He bears a striking resemblance to the " Dajjal-al Masih" or " Dark Messiah" descriptions in the Hadiths. |

I am sure Mulla Omar would disagree with you but I can't confirm it unfortunately!
.... Edit: Why would one take the Hadiths seriously as anything else but the sayings of Muhammed? Is Muhhameds word to be revered? Are you holding Muhhamed in equal to the Quran? |

But the Hadiths are not the word of God. Why do you care about them?
