Post Athiesm/Religion and Trauma

I'm wondering how many athiests here "lost their faith" due to a traumatic event or series of events. It seems there is the myth that most athiest/agnostics lose their "faith" because of tragedy.

For the believers, how many of you "found God" after a tragedy or traumatic event?

While I appreciate the open-minded approach to this question, it really doesn't belong in the Philosophy forum.

I am therefore closing this thread here and moving it to Miscellaneous Discussions. Any follow-ups can be posted there.

Thanks!
