Creation's perfection, the Fall, and the WC
If I understand Creationists correctly, before the Fall Adam and Eve were perfect and the animal kingdom was full of vegetarian animals that did not hunt and kill each other. I take it then that the animals too were physically perfect before the Fall.
Now, I would assume that a perfect physical being would make 100% use of the water and plants it eats (lets put aside for the moment the possibility that a perfect being might not need to eat anything at all, and could derive and store all of its life sustaining energy from sunshine). If so, then a perfect physical being would have no need for any internal organs for the expulsion of bodily wastes. No bladder, no lower intestines, no rectum. Did the Fall cause these organs to come into being? If they pre-dated the Fall, are we to assume that the Garden of Eden contained just as much piss and excrement as any other natural kingdom one would find today? Or did God create these organs in Man/animals in the beginning, knowing they would serve no purpose until Man sinned? Most alarmingly, what about after the Rapture, when the Saved are again restored with perfect bodies? If piss/excrement were a part of the original Garden, doesn't this mean that the Saved will still need to take potty breaks now and then for the rest of eternity? |

I should hope so. One of the things I would expect in a perfect world is to have a perfect chef who makes me perfect meals. I do like food.

DS: That's right. As soon as Eve ate of the fruit of the tree, all these organs were suddenly deemed necessary by the omniscient God who put all of that stuff together. Also necessary, of course was intallation of dentition, enzymes, instincts, and a host of other attributes that God saw was now necessary because of the application of Eve's teeth on the fruit of a certain tree. Which meant that Eve noticed a short time later that brown stuff started coming out of a new orifice in her body. I can only speculate on what she said when she saw that happening, but since Adam was given the responsibility of naming all the animals, perhaps Eve was given a similar task. |
