Post On Balance, Creationism is the Safest Bet

I've joined the creationism/evolution debate from both sides for some time now (ie. my side, and fuck you) and I've come to the conclusion that creationism is the most rational choice, if for nothing other than my own peace of mind and the safety of my future progeny.

Whilst I'm not wholly comfortable with the idea that we live in a world where firey dragons, cockatrices, leviathans, talking donkeys etc. etc. used to exist, but are now extinct, I certainly don't want to live in a world where they have never existed, but could be evolving as we speak. Will someone sign me up please.

Do you get any free hats or cellphones when you join the creationist side?

Isn't the saying:

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

If you can write a creationist book with a snappy cover, it's basically a license to print money.

Some ideas for titles:

"Demolishing the Deluded Fallacies of Darwinism"
"Darwin on the Gallows: The Sun Sets on a Pathetic Naturalistic Dogma"
"100 Reasons Why Evolution is Bollocks"
"The Handy-Dandy Evolutionist Debating Guide: From Abiogenesis to Zoomorphism"

I think you are right in saying that the only rational choice in Christianity is peace of mind. If you feel that way, fine. But please don't expect others to share your joy. I would find absolutely NO peace of mind whatsoever if I knew I would be spending ALL OF ETERNITY with the God described in the Bible or knew I would be side by side with the Christians here on earth FOREVER. No thanks. Their company does not appeal to me at all.
If you cannot find other means to obtain peace of mind as some of us atheists have, then the Bible is a perfect book to turn to. It can help you deal with the fears that you seem to be having.

I take it you're not too familiar with our old friend, and resident wit, Boro Nut?

Oh! I'm so glad you said that! Very relieved! I wanted to start my original reply with "You must be joking!" but thought it might be too over the top. It is very funny. LOL. Now I'm familiar, thanks! (I'm still new)
