No, one set was from Mary, the other set was just created out of nothing. God is omnipotent - try to open your mind just a bit - creating a baby inside Mary is not that difficult for God.

*Opening mind* Can He leap tall buildings in a single bound? Is He more powerful than a locomotive? Does He fight for Truth, Justice, and the American way?

Come on, Magus! If you're going to advocate a mythology, at least make it interesting for a modern audience!

Talking Heaven -- The Book of Revelation?

Back to the main subject, the usual Biblical source on the Xtian Heaven is the Book of Revelation and how it describes the "New Jerusalem".

It is perpetually illuminated, it is built from gold and precious stones, and there is a special river flowing through it with a special tree growing at it.

Its inhabitants wear white robes, wave palm leaves, and sing hymns of praise all day.

Well I see no sign of that happening, so off to GRD.

If you want your deceased pets around you --that is what you get. If you want to sit in a corner and be sad all day that is what you get. Whatever you want in Heaven to make it a real Heaven for you---------that is what you get. And you can change scenarios any time you get bored. Think about an eternity of changing scenarios!!!!!!!!!!
The trouble is that our minds are quite finite. There only so many (enjoyable) scenarios we could possibly conceive of. You'll love Heaven in the beginning (mmm, nubile virgins), but after a while, when you've tried and done everything you can think of a hundred times over, won't you get just a bit bored? After a looong while, it'll be more or less like mark9950 put it; You're just putting off the invevitable.

And when you get that far, you haven't even scratched the surface of the infinite time allocated to you.

The only possible solution I can think of is a complete and utter memory wipe. You ask God for the favour, he snaps his celestial fingers and hey, it's your first day in heaven all over again! I suppose that would interfere with all this free will and justice crap, but who cares, it's heaven.

Perhaps what you should say is that they didn't have intercourse. Combining two sets of chromosomes to generate a new life is the very essence of sexual reproduction.

God is omnipotent - try to open your mind just a bit - creating a baby inside Mary is not that difficult for God.

Well, then, having intercourse with her should have been well within his powers, too. And enjoying it. There, am I open-minded enough?

I agree that making a baby in Mary shouldn't be that difficult for god to do, BTW. After all, even mere mortals like you and me could have done it if we'd been around in the day.

I still can't believe all of you can be writing about the question of sex in heaven based on a passage which doesn't mention or even imply the idea of heaven (that goes for you, too, Esther).
