Can you please explain why you have posted this here in BC&A? It is the sort of story xians like to tell one another. Its relevance for infidels is not clear.

Mods:

The above sermon is a cut-and-paste from a website, perhaps <a href="http://www.everystudent.com/features/sawyer.html" target="_blank">this one</a>.

Wink

And unless Steve Sawyer is posting from the "other side," the above poster is not the author...

Or perhaps <a href="http://www.clm.org/everystudent/sawyer.html" target="_blank">this one</a>, or <a href="http://www.escmedia.org/campaigns/12-death/article.html" target="_blank">this one</a>. Yup, Christians do love telling stories like that one. Often exactly like it, in fact.

I noticed this at the bottom of the page (which I just scanned; the typical God...yada yada...pray...yada yada...we're worthless...yada yada...Jesus...yada yada...):

Quote:
Steve Sawyer died of liver failure from hepatitis C on March 13, 1999. He spent his remaining years speaking on hundreds of college campuses, even though the traveling compounded the pain of his illnesses.
I wonder how many remaining years he had after he died?

Since developing this religious bond, Sawyer has been successfully battling AIDS without any medication because it makes him feel sick.

He said his doctors are clueless.
<a href="http://www.alligator.org/edit/issues/97-fall/971016/b09aids1.htm" target="_blank">1997 story</a>

So he developed a relationship with Christ and stopped taking medicine about the time that AIDS medications started to really prolong lives. He died in 1999. What does this tell you?

It does not belong in this forum.

Yup, even with the cut and paste it had nothing to do with Bible criticism or archaeology, so while I'm here I may as well send it somewhere it will fit in better...
