This one from christianforums.com really takes the cake
Gooches Dad challenged Lambslove that he did not actually read his posts (something which is probably true for most creationists). To which LL replied
"Actually, we don't read it because we just don't care about it. And arguing with us won't really change our minds. You can't force your beliefs on us." THats not the first time I have seen that type of attitude from the denizens of christianforums. My question is; if they don't care about it, or they find it boring why debate it? And since when is anyone forcing their beleifs. Its a frickin debate people! If they can't hack it why participate? |

Sounds like cretinists should be able to compete in the Special Olympics. But at least the real mentally retarded have an excuse.

http://www.christianforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=70 The creationists there are unable to answer/challenge the evidence that has been posted there but just unwilling to admit it. The senior moderator claimed that she could refute the isochron post but the evolutionists would not believe her. Yeah right. She also told one evolutionist that she was setting him for ignore. Is it me or if one is a moderator that is not an option that one should have. I am not sure that any creationist there has yet to be able to answer any question or refute any argument presented by pro-evolution posters. I am starting to get some more respect for Zoe in talk.origins who tried to debunk isochrons with the claim that 5/0=5 and could not be convinced that she was wrong. Sure Zoe is ignorant and a bit dogmatic, but at least she tries and is willing to put in at least a little work. |

I don't scare all that easily, but these people scare me.
"What we have here is a failure to communicate." What we have here are people who have found reason, logic and just plain thinking difficult (therefore, why do it?). So, we will continue to fail to communicate with them. The really scarey part of it all is that they are listened to. I read a poll (yeah, yeah, I know. Polls suck the cess pool through a straw) that showed that nearly 50% (I don't remember where I read this [ol' Doov covering his ass]) said that they believed that a god created everything, Noah was a great and highly ingenious sailor at the age of 500 (correct me if I'm wrong), and that this particularly vile-tempered god yanked the legs off snakes in the Garden of Eden like a cruel child with the wings of a captured fly. How can they not see how preposterous this is? It falls into the catagory of Tall Tales told around the campfire to amuse children, who like to be scared, within reason. I fear for the future of my species. d |
