How come I get castigated for using some insults a while back, and I apologised, but still faced a not so oblique threat to kick me off of the forum?

What is the fecking deal here? Is it that the "inner circle" of VETERAN USERS are excempt from the rules?

Users, we have an elite membership here (Veteran users) and another group of second class users. And I thought that kind of snobbery was uniquely English.

I do not know what insults you levelled, so I do not know how to evaluate your moral equivalence argument here. However, I can say this about my own views -- which are my own, as I am not a moderator nor an admin here. When someone has relentlessly earned the status of a troll, especially by ascribing bad motives and deliberate obtuseness to their interlocutors, and all the while arguing from sheerest ignorance, then it's inevitable that the gloves will come off -- at least a bit, at least occasionally.

Nevertheless, the comment of mine that you quoted was an expression of frustration that did not add to the debate in any constructive way, and it's fair of you to point that out. Perhaps a PM to the mods and to me is a better way of raising the matter without further derailing the thread, though.

I'm still waiting for magus or the initial poster to reply. Am I wasting my time? I got such a laugh from magus's post, that I printed it out and it's pasted on the wall by my computer. You just don't find entertainment like that every day.
