I'd carry on as before.

It was meant as a hypothetical question, of course. Just wondering if any of you will live any differently if such a being exists.</strong>
If this christian god did in fact exist, I would be seriously considering a class action lawsuit.
It would be based on this divine beings discriminatory bigoted practices.
I would also petition the court to file charges
against this entity for child abuse and accessory
to murder.
I would hope to get this supreme being charged with crimes against humanity.
Of course based on the prior history of deceptive
practices attributed to this being, the court would probably be "bought off" by this entity.....
you know promises of eternal life and stuff.

I'd have to ask him for at least 3 forms of ID and personal references that I could check. If everything checked out ok, I would tell him that we don't have a position available for him at this time but we will keep his information on file for 6 months in case something becomes available.

After 6 months he would of course need to apply for the position of deity again.

To the human rights tribunal for trial on charges of ethnic cleansing. Remember the Canaanites. He was the mastermind.

So would I. After all, if I knew that god existed, then I'd believe in him, and believe that he is the supreme creator. And from what I've read, that's all you need to get into heaven.

If the god of the bible existed, then other gods and supernatural stuff might too. I would investigate the occult and learn how to cast spells.

How would I know he existed? Would he come talk to me? Would he prove to me what he can do? Could I ask him questions? Would he clear up all the confusion about contradictory parts of the Bible, Christian sects that differ wildly in philosophy? Would he help me understand what's up with his obtuse "mysterious ways"?

I have no idea how I'd react to that. If all (or even a lot) of my issues with Xianity were cleared up, things would be quite different - and would depend almost entirely on what this God-fellow was actually like.

If I just had some scientific proof he was out there, I don't know that I'd be much better off than I am now. I'd trust none of the texts or preachers (still got the whole issue of untrustworthy, stupid humans involved). I'd just be a sort of Christian agnostic - making things up as I went along, based on what seemed right to me. Which is basically what I do now, only without a religion.

If the Christian god existed, then the Christian Satan would most likely also exist. In which case I would say:

"Listen, Nick, if you want me to be tempted into sin you're going to have to make it a lot easier to find some weed around here."
