Did anyone else watch that last night? What a sick fucker he is. . . taking people's money and pretending to 'cure' them...if he was claiming to be a medical professional he'd be in jail by now, but because he hides behind religion he gets away with murder.
Grrr.....well maybe the Dateline show will help expose this guy. scigirl |

Yeah, I saw it. He's an evil man...but then, that's always been obvious.
Unfortunately, I think he is going to prosper until the day he dies. As long as there are stupid, gullible people (we saw several examples in that show), as long as there are venal, uncaring people (you know that several of the members of the Hinn organization are just going for a nice ride on the gravy train), and as long as you doctors and doctors-to-be are incapable of curing every illness and continue to tell people that their problem is incurable and they are going to die, there will be lines of people who will support despicable quacks like Hinn. |

If nothing else, he should be in jail for his hair!

(Warning - this post was inspired by a Law and Order episode)
I wonder if a family member of one of those people who died 2 months after being "healed" can start a class-action wrongful death lawsuit against him. If he convinced people they were healed, and those same people stopped taking medicines or seeing their regular physician, than his actions caused their premature death. Would be hard to prove though. It makes me sick how much shit he can get away with in the name of religion. But guess what - I'm not the only one. That Trinity group is probably more disgusted than I am, and since they are theists, they might actually make inroads in proving what a fraud he is. scigirl |

My mom is so cute - she's a catholic but a firm believer in modern medicine (she's an RN). She was watching the show with me and said, "if he's doing the Lord's work, why does he need so many lawyers?" It was awesome. scigirl |

They said he was born in the middle east but raised in Canada. I was so happy to see that show last night! I really hate that SOB and he should be in prison. My mom sends him money and believes all that shit!

I missed the program. Did Dateline bust him, call him a fraud, etc? His continuing popularity in some circles is amazing. Didn't James Randi expose this charlatan years ago?
Kally, did your mother see the program? I'm always curious to know what True Believers think when they see one of their own exposed (assuming he was). If she was presented with evidence that he is a con artist, would it make any difference to her or would she find a way to rationalize it and continue supporting his "ministry"? |

There was a show on HBO about 1-1/2 years ago that did a number on him as well - along with some German fraud.
