You can find some old threads on this question. McDonald has an interesting case based on literary analysis, but it is not strong enough to sway a Christian's mind (if anything would be). It does provide an adequate explanation of where Mark got all those details, other than oral history, and is an effective counter to the argument "Mark couldn't have just made all that up!"
McDonald himself is a practicing Christian. |
