Post Washington Post columnist pooh-poohs raw vegetables, creationism

In this article in the Washington Post's Wednesday food section, chemist and food science columnist Robert L. Wolke attacks the current fad of eating all raw foods, and only raw foods, all the time--or rather, he attacks the "science" used to support it. But tucked in the middle was this little tidbit that I appreciated:

Quote:
What I do not applaud and what I do indeed scoff at is the raw foodists' (or is it faddists'?) apparent need to manufacture "scientific" validation of their dietary beliefs, much as some "creation science" believers assert that paleontological evidence "proves" that Earth is only 5,000 years old.
