I agree, this would be a great idea, and I think using quotes from famous believers as well as the bibble itself would keep the *cough* quality up there.

Awesome idea. I'd buy several copies.

Question

Here's a question... does anyone know if there are any copyright issues with bible quotes? I mean, the bible is the bible, and with god allegedly being the author, He probably hasn't copyrighted it. But then again, there are specific editions and translations of the bibles; would that make selling quotes from a specific version a copyright infringement?

Biblical translations may be copyrighted, and one had best check any version's copyright status before use.

Did a quick google for "copyright bible translation" and came up with this link:

You can add my name to the list of people who think this idea is great.......I'd take at least two.

If you want to do the best possible job, do your best to sort out questions of context and interpretation. Not to say you can't find all sorts of horrific claims anyway.

It seems like you would be free to use the King James, and since it's the One True Bible™ the fundies are more likely to buy the calendar.

Hey! Check out Matthew 6:1-6 for an interesting view on public prayer!
