Also, look at the decline of the state of this country with regard to sexual abberation. I think morals play a big role in having a proggressing society. Compare our children who are taught that they are simply descendants of animals, and their schooling, with Asian children (from asia, in asia) who are taught religion and honor in their homes. There is a huge difference in the work ethic in other areas as well (i.e arts, music).

RTLFMAO. Please, please move here. And live. The "work ethic" of Asians is a myth. The actuality of Chinese work behavior is reflected in the common saying "cha bu duo le" which means, when spoken in context, something like "It's good enough, why bother to do it well?"

Asians work hard because they have to. Productivity in Asian societies is low, partly because work ethics are so poor. Additionally, interest rates are poor, so they have to store away proportionally more money than Americans do, who have investment options that did not exist until recently in Asia (when the stock market first opened to real business here, thousands of people quit their jobs to play). There is no social security system, another reason to store away funds.

It's time this old chestnut was retired.

Let's talk about sexual ethics. BTW, in my local neighborhood, there are several brothels. How many operate in your neighborhood in the States?

So we in America should start being taught Asian religion? Works for me. I find Buddhism and Shinto far more congenial than Christianity.

I'd continue this discussion, but, being as I am a descendent of animals, I must use my finely-tuned vertebrate nervous system, highly evolved primate brain, and dextrous mammalian digits to finish writing a report that's due this evening. If only I'd been descended from plants, I wouldn't need this darned "work ethic" and I could just photosynthesize all day long.

Free thinker? Refer to my name. I know many people who label themselves as thinkers of the free. But when I bring up something that is against anything of their "morals" the person tends to be...refer to name.

based on this then, isnt it somewhat of a paradox to form your opinion of a free thinker on what the site says?

my definition of a free thinker is someone who formulates their own opinions however takes facts as they are if theyd prefer to. i also wouldnt want any of you using my defintion of a free-thinker cause well, you then wouldnt be thinking freely.
