As Hinduwoman mentioned, he could have been sharing his belief with someone who never really heard it before. In effect it's proselytizing, but I'm not entirely sure he saw it like that. Ah well...

Ah yes, they were very similar. He told me the Qu'ran was the Word of God because it was a perfect book with no contradictions. You could tell it was from God because it was written like something a perfect being would write!! He also gave me a couple prophecies from the Qu'ran.

As you said, they were very similar to standard Christian arguments. He hasn't emailed me back yet, so I really can't say much more than that about him. Maybe he was testing to waters to see how skeptical I am and adjust his arguments accordingly? I'll give him the benefit of a doubt.

It amuses me how Muslims will use the same worn out arguements we have heard a thousand times from Christians and think they have come with something revolutionary that is going to cause us godless athiests to realize Islam is the one true religion.

Just think of what it is like the majority of Indians; we have to live with them.
Recently the Muslim personal law board said that no court in India, not even the Supreme Court --- in the country of which they are citizens, mind you --- have the right to pass judgements on
anything regarding the laws of community as enshrined in the shariat, because it is holy. The courts are not competent! And that comment was in response to a recent order that Muslims girls cannot be married off when they become 12 (or sometimes even younger following Muhammad's example), but at 18.

And then the politcally correct crowd and orthodox muslims wonder why the popularity of Hindu nationalist organizations keep on growing and why the average Hindu sneers at them.
