Default Project Steve

This was brought to my attention by a poster at the POD forums:

Project Steve

edit to chage the url to point to article on Project Steve, and not the site on "Are You Dave Gorman?"

Thankyou very much. This is absolutely classic.

(mainly because 'steve' is a funny word)

Are you mocking the most famous Australian of all time, the legendary Mr. Irwin?

I don't think the article mentions it, but it's worth noting that the reason it's "Project Steve" is because it is in honor of the late Stephen Jay Gould

Hehehe

That reminds me of the Kids in the Hall skits like "These are the Daves I know I know" and "31 Helens agree that..."

The NCSE's Project Steve page is now up. If you're a Steve, you can join the list from that page.

The press release has a paragraph on it:
Quote:
And why Steve? "In honor of the late Harvard zoologist and geologist Stephen Jay Gould, a valiant supporter of both evolution education and NCSE," NCSE's Scott explained. "We hope that the next time creationists present a list of 'scientific dissenters from evolution', reporters will ask, 'How many of them are named Steve?'"

Glad to see that posts migrate from site to site so well. I am surprised that POD would be on the screen of many skeptics. They can be a very charming group of people.

Anyway, be the first at your department meeting to wear a "Project Steve" tee shirt.
