You may find the story of Lillith to be interesting also in that the Gnostics say that Lillith was gods consort for a time. |

God should logically be "it", but you'll never hear a Christian using that pronoun, nor "she". The Great Penis in the Sky is Father, King, Warrior, all those male similitudes...
In the scientific account of biology, the female came first, then the male. Hence: http://www.caw.org/articles/theagenesis.html |

He fails to realize that our human-ity is a condition of being such as being naked in which case "fully human" can be equated with "fully naked" or even fully stupid. The bible hold that we must become "fully man," and Volumnia "sprang not more in joy at first hearing he was a man-child than now in first seeing that he had proved himself [fully] man" Coriolanus (I.iii.15-18). Coriolanus is a divine comedy that takes place in Rome. The "it" always was but was not female until the illusory masculine nature of God--in who's image males are made--was there to impregnate the female who so became the humming/slumbering consciousness of all creation. |

Should we thank the ancient Hebrews for their contribution to the Patriarchal society that we now must live with? George Carlin said god had to be a man, cause no female could have fucked everything up as badly as he has. I dont really get bent over gender issues, Mainly because I dont see females as being anything other than equal partners, guess my Mom did her job on me. By the time I was 10 years old, I could cook, clean, wash clothes and iron (yes thats right ironing) with the best of em. My Mom always told me that I was going to make some female a dandy house husband. I was lucky to grow up in a home enviornment that was based on equality and equal work loads and chores. My parents were pretty liberal now that I really think about it. And the educational process at home has served me well, in many ways. In Mormon doctrine there is a heavenly father and a heavenly mother, who were once both physical beings as ourselves who were elevated by works to godhood. Christian doctrine reinforces those testosterone driven male superiority complex concepts, just another nail in it's already full coffin. To me it all comes right back to slavery, and how you define "slave". Wolf |
