Fine article by J.J. Lowder in the Agora
I thought I would post this here as the Agora gets little attention IMHO in the forums.
The Pledge of Allegiance, the Courts, and Death Threats by Jeffery Jay Lowder [Thanks, hal! Generally, though, we like to preserve bandwidth and post links instead of cutting/pasting whole articles. Besides ,that will direct more hits to the Kiosk!] [ June 30, 2002: Message edited by: Writer@Large ]
|

That might be a good way to trip up opponents of the decision -- ask them about the death threats that Mr. Newsom has received, and ask how they are any fundamentally different from the 9/11 kamikaze hijackings.
Also I wonder how these people would react if there was a God -- who decided to appear before them, telling them to stop taking his name in vain. I'm sure that they'd go into furious rages and suffer nervous breakdowns. |

Great article!
I am a weekly columnist for my small town newspaper. I also wrote a piece denouncing the obscene calls and death threats. It will be running this Wednesday ... can't wait to see if I get a response. |

J.J. Lowder nailed it, a great article! One of many there and in the Kiosk. I agree with you hal, these two areas of the Sec-Web are often ignored in these forums by the members here, a pity. David |
