That's correct, you would actually prefer that I go away. This is the tone of every single one of your replies to me. Yes, in fact, "shut up" is the primary characteristic of most of your posts.

Your first statement is correct. The second is, again, typical of your highly-skeptical, dismissive posture.

Kind Bud writes: Forgive me If I am wrong, Toto, but I assumed that BC&A was set up so Bible-believers can answer challenges like mine.

Although I am not familiar with the particulars of BC&A's founding, I believe that it exists in order to allow discussion of many aspects of the Bible, ancient Judaism, and early Christianity. While this could include "challenges" that are answered by "Bible-believers," it is certainly not limited to that, nor is that the main thrust of the group. I would indeed prefer myself if there were less rancor and if people didn't always polarize between "skeptics" and "Bible believers" (or "apologists").

best,
Peter Kirby

Van, you're way out in left field here. Either discuss the topic or go away. Regardless of what you say, I don't care which. If you're prepared to actually address Kind Bud's post and discuss the topic like a reasonable person, please stay and do so. If you're only going to post ad homs in lieu of arguments, then go away.

And both of your ad hom attacks on me (and on Kind Bud) are so blatantly false (and ironic, to boot, coming from you) that they're laughable and not worthy of a response.

I withdraw the question or challenge. It seems now obviously out of character for what is usually discussed here by the regulars, and I apologize for mistakenly thinking otherwise.

Mods, please close this thread. Thank you.

Kind Bud, I don't think that it was a bad or inappropriate question to ask here, but unfortunately it got derailed early into the realm of polemics. I would have wished for some intelligent discussion on the topic. I will respect your request to close the thread.

best,
Peter Kirby
