Lightbulb New Member...a little on what I believe

Brightest Greetings to everyone!

This looks like a wonderful place! Such a mix of beliefs is most welcome to me, as I am not Christian, but am Pagan. Pagan because I cannot believe that the God of Christianity is all there is. I believe generally that "God Is" and that is all their is too it. I believe in the Duality of God..the female and male aspects..and in the Mother Earth. I invoke many dieties, mostly Aries, for my sign..he represents several things for me...Fairness...(Though aries could be very cruel, he never let the big guy win against the little guy, without helping the little guy at least a bit.) Strength, both physical and emotional. I am highly empathic. I feel a lot of other's pain, sadness etc..as well as giddiness, and happy feelings. (I feel them from across the globe sometimes...) I have made friends thru chat all over the world, some christian, some not. I do believe I have been to this planet many times..from thousands of years ago. I remember certain things about places, that I should not. I also identify with Hecate, Morrigan, Athena, and Hera. My Celtic roots are what brought me to paganism..and when I say roots, I mean roots of past lives...not roots of my heritage. I was adopted and do not know exactly what my roots as far as my genes go in this life. I study anything I can find, listen to Celtic music and use celtic themes in my circles. I along with others, do rituals online on Fullmoons, and darkmoons (sometimes) as well as rituals for all major Sabbats. In that group we have several with different beliefs, and joining in circle we combine them to create incredible energies for healing, for balance in the universe, for peace, etc....the list goes on. So this is a little about me. I have 2 children, and one on the way, and a puppy dog. A husband, (who is also pagan.)

I am very interested in what others see of god. or Gods, as the case maybe. I will be bringing friends with me I think, as this looks like a perfect forum for many of them. Am glad I found this place

Foiled again.

Naturalist, materialist, anti-mystic, anti-supernaturalist, anti-occult (that means God too - anything that's hidden). Sez so in my profile: if it's hidden (such as God) then I don't want it.

If you can't perceive it by the senses, then it is either non-existent or not worth finding out. Nature all there is, that is absolute truth, and all who think otherwise are in manifest error.

Welcome AriesFlame. Many of us here are naturalists/atheists/agnostics and thus do not believe in any supernatural entities or forces, however it is refreshing to see someone other than a Christian here sharing their views.

I've found that pagans are generally more pleasant and sensible about their beliefs than Christians/Muslims/Jews....

But your beliefs are still wrong you know...

Christians (/Jews/Muslims) "sharing" their view? HAHAHAHAHA! "Ramming down our throats" would be much more appropriate. Cursed they be and cursed be their evil God!

AF, I'm going to go easy on you because pagans seem to make a point of not proselytizing or even claiming to have all the answers. I have seen the bumper sticker "God is too big for one religion to hold" and that seems to be what many pagans feel. I respect that a lot more than the prevailing Christian and Islamic views which can be paraphrased as "I know exactly what God is and the only way to be right with God is [insert denomination here]."

I'd be interested on the details of why you think you have lived other lives. Miscellaneous Religion Discussions might be the best place for a thread like that.

Welcome! Always good to see a fellow Minnesotan. How'd you like that 80 degree weather followed by a snowstorm?

AriesFlame,

Welcome to the board! I'm going to move your post to the Introductions section, where I'm sure you'll continue to receive welcoming comments from other II members.
