I liked Requiem for a Dream. It was powerfully hurtful, scary as hell. Sometimes you just need an emotional gut-punch, for much the same reason you should include roughage in your diet. Dragonheart 2 was terrible. Santa Conquers the Martians looks like it was shot in a single day on one set, which I guess gives it camp value. It makes you laugh, instead of cry, which is good. US Seals (or Navy Seals, whatever it was, Charlie Sheen) was a war crime, an offense against humanity. North... Anyone and everyone associated with this movie should be dragged out and shot. Now. Don't wait for dawn, they might make another 'movie'. Glitter. Kazaam. Spice World. Just about any Police Academy movie. Ernest Does Anything. Oh, make my eyes stop bleeding... |

I really did not like the Blair Witch project. However I would have liked it if some of you skeptics tagged along (cue Mageth, Lone Ranger and Philosoft).
That would have been a comedy ![]() |

Jade.
Surely David Caruso didn't have this piece of garbage in mind for a movie career after he left NYPD Blue? |

...Wing Commander
What? But it has Saffron Burrows! The Long Kiss Goodnight -- still the only movie where the insult 'blithering idiot' is meant seriously. |

The following qualify as mind-rape in my opinion:
The Cider House Rules How this got nominated for an Oscar I'll never know and in my mind is a permanent blemish on "The Academy's" reputation. Cliched propaganda and I didn't give a whit about any of the characters. I want those 7 bucks and 2 hours of my life back. Toys Robin Williams at his worst. Which, unfortunately, is pretty damn terrible. Somehow was forced to sit thru this freaked-out chaos twice, and will be working it out in therapy for the rest of my life. Armageddon definitely gets my vote. Also Independence Day. Speaking of Michael Douglas, The American President. Wretch. Star Trek V. Horror. Being a former big-time Trekker, this was almost too painful to watch. Ed TV. I cannot believe there were people who actually liked this movie. It was torture. Bad acting. Terrible writing. Completely pointless. Okay I'm going to get railed for this one... Blade Runner. I totally respect those of you who like it. But I can't stand it, I think it sucks big-time and on multiple levels. The only thing I get out of watching it is depressed. HOWEVER, the soundtrack is good--by far the best part (however does not really get played until the end credits). Another controversial one with a large following: The Shawshank Redemption. So self-important it makes me vomit. |

Easily, by far, the worst movie I've ever seen: Spaceballs. What an unfunny movie. Puerile, infantile, stupid, tasteless, yeah, all of that; and yeah, the "Alien" parody was moderately humorous, which only proves what they say about blind pigs and acorns.
But the rest of it suffered from the worst sin a comedy can commit: I saw the jokes coming. All of them. One of the bad guys says they're going to have to COMB the desert, and sure enough in the next scene you see the bad guys -- wait ofr it -- COMBING the desert! (I'll wait until you stop laughing. Oh wait, you're done?) What makes it worse is that Mel Brooks actually directed good movies in the past, so we know it wasn't just because he was incompetent. It's ninety minutes of my life I feel he owes me back. Rob aka Mediancat |

Dr. T and the Women!
Since I'm a feminist, this movie was mind-flaying! |
