perfect creation?
{Not really sure if this one belongs here, or in philosophy, or even in GRD.}
I have noticed that many of the xians on this board state the equivalent of god's creations being perfect since they were created by god. So what I'm asking is if all of creation is so perfect (esp. humans), where does mutations and diseases come into play? If our beginnings were perfect, then it follows that all that comes from perfection is equally perfect. But since this is not the case... |

Ah, well, that'd be the Fall, see. It'd all be perfect if it wasn't for us. Mind you, they still manage to see enough perfection in nature to assume a benevolent and omnipotent God. Guess some things just come in and out of focus as needed.

Everything was perfect in nature--it all balanced itself entirely, with populations keeping each other in check, enabling the world to not suffer from the population.
All that changed when man decided to sin. It's hard taking off the creationist hat. |

if those creations were "perfect" then they would not sin, since that implies imperfection.

Free will allows for an imperfection by act of the creation--not of the creator. Further, each thing was created with a specific goal in mind--humans needed to think and rationalize, hence they needed free will.

Cheap whisky is the answer; consider:
He who drinks, get's drunk. He who gets drunk goes to sleep. He who sleeps does not sin. He who does not sin goes to Heaven. We all want to go to Heaven. Let us drink. QED doov |
