Van Praagh returns
The teddy bear con artist Van Praagh was on Larry King tonight with actor Ted Danson promoting a new movie about the pseudo psychic charlatan. The movie is supposed to air this coming Sunday.
Just like with John Edwards, King was just ga ga over Praagh and let him make his claims unchallenged. King ignored Praaghs obvious misses and spoke about his ability to speak with the dead as if it was a proven fact. Some journalism. I am finding this trend of letting Edwards, Praagh and their ilk have their way on talk shows very disturbing. It is also disappointing seeing so many prominent actors falling for these guys. Skeptics need a stronger presence in the media. |

King used to invite Michael Shermer and James Randi from the Skeptics on his show.
However, the callers almost always ignored them, and gushed in favor of the psychics. So maybe King just gave up. King admitted once he liked "believing" in ghosts and the like himself. Sojourner |

I don't stop over on this side of the board very often, because honestly, it just pisses me off.
Why, in the 21st farking century, do people still believe in this crap? <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> |
