Angel Dust
My grandfather's life ceased a few months ago due to colon cancer. He was a christian.
In a recent religious conversation with my mom, she brought up the witnessing of angels by my grandfather near the time of his death. She wanted an explanation. To me, it was clearly an hallucination manifesting itself in a brain that is about to stop its functioning. She mentioned that his brain was functioning fine since he was telling my grandmother about them and actually getting quite mad that she couldnt see them. I attempted to explain to her this clearly shows it was an hallucination because if angels had been there, my grandmother would have had to see them also. She said that angels can show themselves to an individual without being seen by others in the area. I asked how this was possible. Her explanation was God has that kind of power. Which is not an explanation. The whole notion of angels and such is quite ludicrous. If we go along with the notion of supernatural beings we can see how they can not exist except in our minds, thus, making them an hallucination. Anything that physically exists in this world is composed of something. An angel manifesting itself in my grandpa's room would have to be composed of something, thus, my grandmother, whom is not blind, should have seen the 3 apparitions. If this is not the case, what are supposed angels made of? Angelic dust? By the way, his angels didnt do much good. Grandpa had a horribly painful and bloody death. It sucked to see him like that. |
