Talking What ever happened to...

I remember the Japanese were embarking on a 5th generation language about 15 years ago. Does anyone know what happened to that project?

I cannot say I have heard about its success story.

Here is where they claim to define aspects of each generation.

basically:

1- Machine code
2- Assembly languages
3- Most languages
4- Candygrammars
5- Point and drool programming
