Although I am not a religious person, I do agree with many of the Buddhist philosophies.

I do have one question that has been on my mind however. What happens to all of the proceeds from the Dalai Lama's books? I'm sure he doesn't accept any monetary reward, so where does the money go? |

The organization that supports and helps him? I'm writing off-the-cuff. I'll do some surfing as I am interested in the general topic.

The Dalai Lama seems to conducting a low-key public relations campaign or his own propaganda, if you wish, on behalf of Tibet which is in danger of being an extinct culture. I'll get back if I find something. |

As far as I know, the money goes to various projects which directly or indirectly are intended to be for the ultimate benefit of all sentient beings.

At the Kalachakra initiation in Sydney in 1997ish, a profit of several hundred thousand was made. Part went to various Tibetan refugee projects but most of it was divided up among the Red Cross, World Health Organization and something about caring for kids in Africa. I've had dreams where I met him, touched foreheads with him and felt a wave of energy coming from him. I've even literally stood at a kitchen sink doing dishes with him. Just dreams of course, but nice dreams when you're a buddhist. |
