Somewhat negative. Fancy looks is, IMO, no excuse to be so out-of-date as to discourage birth-control. Judging how the church acts in this matter and some others, they often seem to put their own ideals above trying to help people in a realistic fashion.

If you like myth, superstition, bizarre rituals, and delusion, the Catholic Church can't be beat.
But if, on the other hand, you crave logic, reality, reason, and justice, the Catholic Church is probably not for you. |

Somebody ought to sell for scrap all the marble Cardinal Mahony used to build their new digs here in LA. I’m sure they could feed all the kids on skid row for a couple of years.
