Here's several clues:

Quote:
The longer the slab was studied, the more mysteries appeared. On the map, a giant irrigative system could be seen: in addition to the rivers, there are two 500-metre-wide channel systems, 12 dams, 300-500 metres wide, approximately 10 km long and 3 km deep each.
Clearly, what we have here is people creating pictures out of clouds. This is not real. It is the same thing as the Man in the Moon and the Old Man of the Mountain, not Mount Rushmore.

Okay guys if the chinese are not responsible for creating the map then why is there ancient chinese characters on the map itself? Furthermore, I don't think there were homosapiens that lived during the time of the dinosaurs, so the dating of this ancient map is sure to be wrong, if not, it would be aliens who did the job of mapping. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

This 'old map' was brought up over on christianforums.com too. I'm too lazy right now to go find the article that they posted about it, but the Russian scientists dated the 'map' by identifying two fossil shells that were encrusted onto the edge of the rock. The dates when these particular shells were alive is supposedly known.

Pretty piss-poor way of dating a supposedly human artifact, if you ask me. someone could have buried the map in that particular fossil layer, for one thing.

Talking

The caption alone is worth a few laughs,

THE MAP OF "THE CREATOR"

oyyy....I'm surprised the believe-anythings at the baptist board haven't tried to propagandize this yet.

Like the BB, some folks will believe anything, no matter how outrageous.

If someone can get a better look at that map, could you please tell me where the nearest Motel 6 is?

Need. More. Data. And. Peer. Review.

Somehow I'm recalling all the brouhaha about Martian life after Lowell reported seeing canali on Mars.
