For a few months i had sleep paralysis very frequently and at the beginning it scared the crap out of me. You get the sense there's something evil lurking by your bed.
The cool thing about this state is you can have a lucid dream much easier. |

I would like to read or see some more posters with more info on sleep paralysis. I had usually experienced it while back at home in New Orleans and never while in college where staying at my present residence.
Usually while I was taking a short nap or before falling into the deep stages of sleep, I would awaken to only being able to open my eyes yet couldn't move nor speak. I try to scream yet nothing comes out, all the while there is incredible pressure upon my head. I haven't experienced it in a year or two thankfully, but haven't found anyone with similar experiences nor any resources as to what it actually is. |

Some studies indicate sleep paralysis can be triggered by stress...me though, I only experience it when I take Lortab (hydrocodone) unless I take an antianxiety drug like valium or hydroxyzine with it. The experience is almost always negative and scary, though I have known people who claim to "astral project" and have postive experiences. |

And I cataloge this statement right along side of the " you cant understand the bible without the help of the holy spirit to guide you to the underlying meaning" farce. Something akin to saying you cant understand the text unless you already believe in this god. Wolf |
