Another explanation for Jehovah!
Just finished "Amber Spyglass" by Philip Pullman, where he says this basically:
Ar first there was only matter or Dust. when Dust tried to know each other, a being was created. This was Jehovah. Other angels were also created spontenously from the dust. But Jehovah took advantage of his being the first and told everyone that he had created the universe and the angles. The other angels believed him. But later one of them discovered that Jehovah too was created and is later than the universe. So he and his followers got kicked out by Jehovah who proceeded to set up a tyranny. At the end of the book Jehovah has grown old and feeble, unable to understand what is going on and get blown away by a puff of wind. I would like to see how Christians contradict this argument about Jehovah's existence. |

There is a creationist book, called The Long War Against God, that claims Satan believes this. The reasoning goes like this:
It is often asked how an intelligent being like Satan could believe he can win against an omnipotent God. Satan must be engaging in wishful thinking, but in a fairly plausible way. The answer: He denies that Jehovah created him. Satan thinks that he and Jehovah both came about through a process of evolution, and thus, he is on an equal footing with Jehovah and might actually win. All kinds of shady character are associated with evolutionism in this book, and the climax at the end is this claim that Satan was the first evolutionist. |
