Agreed. Power politics is power politics.

And there's a great irony in the whole Pledge issue. For all intents and purposes, those "godless commies" forced us to amend the Pledge. "Under god" means the same thing as "under the godless commies". Looks like "they" one-upped us after all. But I don't think the Falwells and the Bushies are bright enough to understand that.

There is no doubt that they used each other, there is no question who was the victor.
