I don't mean to speak for ex-xian, but if he were a Christian before, then he wouldn't have had a belief in "all deities" to begin with, just the Christian one. You can't give up a belief in something in which you don't believe in the first place. Perhaps a more accurate question would be "Do you now have no belief in all deities, or just the Christian one?" or "After you gave up belief in the Christian God, did you consider other ones, or dismiss them all?"

Thanks Wombat. I had worded my question incorrectly.

Someone might give up their belief in the Christian God per se, but retain belief in a Caring Creator-God or a God Whom Grounds Morals or something like that.

I can't speak for everybody, but a lot of people who have posted here, including myself, that deconverted from christianity went through the creator-god stage or something like that. I went through a deist stage before I went completely atheist. (Since I learned about evolution the whole creator god thing seemed unnecessary to me.)
