nanotechnology websites
Anyone can recommend some nanotechnology related websites? I need to prepare lectures on very basic level on what it is, common misconceptions, and "how will nanotechnology affect our lives". Science part is easy, I guess I need help on misconceptions And examples of nice graphics...

Well, your first step is to search Slashdot.org for hard science information. You'll find plenty there, especially for products that will be going to market soon (oddly enough, textiles).
As for the other side of the coin... Crank.net is a good place to search for hairball schemes and wildly outrageous and unfounded claims. Here's the nanotech area of scientific american. Should be some nifty images you can 'borrow' from there, as well as additional information. sci american |

Let me throw in my two fullerines worth here...
Nanodot is a web site run by the Foresight institute... Slashdot style news site... and generally a good source of info. The Foresight Institute is a nanotech think tank run by Dr K. Eric Drexler, among others... and is one of the major nanotech promoters in the world. Hope that helps a bit. |
