Post And Now Nebraska...

Nebraska is in the sights of ID advocates. See <a href="http://www.antievolution.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?s=3ceb0c964424ffff;act=ST;f=2;t=7" target="_blank">this</a> for story and links.

<a href="http://www.ccose.org/index.html" target="_blank">Concerned Citizens for Objective Science Education</a>

Grassroots creationists in action, advocating lobbying of local school board representatives, complete with shitloads of links to Discovery Institute materials.

I e-mailed a few pointed questions to the site's proprietor.

Modified indicator. Know historical scientific developments that occurred in evolutionary thought, are also accompanied by cognitively challenged sideshow personalities. (e.g., Paley, Behe, drunken man on the street corner, etc.).

Well, living in Nebraska most of my life I can honestly say none of this surprises me. I'm just glad my husband and I taught our children the truth before these loonys could try to indoctrinate them with their fantasies.

Well I am two states down from you and I am surprised. Surprised that we not had much since the Attorney General struck down the Textbook Committee's plaigerism of the Alabama disclaimer. But it is only a matter of time...

I've lived in Nebraska all my life too. I find this to be quite disturbing...

I'm only one state over and it's only a matter of time before those IDiots start creeping over the border. Parts of rural Minnesota are extreme fundy-land so they're likely to get a good reception.

Well, they call it the "heartland" of America for a reason, they've got no brains.

Its mainly just the rural people and the rich/upper middle class that are the pious church goers -- they're the ones with "no brains."
