Coincidence, conspiricy, and the microbiologists
I've been reading some books on skepticism and critical thinking to my kids at night for the past few weeks. Tonight, I'm going to read this NYTimes Magazine article with my 10 yr old.
Thought some of you might enjoy it as well--it's very well done. (You'll need to register to download it, but it's free.) <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2002/08/11/magazine/11COINCIDENCE.html?pagewanted=all&position=top" target="_blank">The Odds of That (Lisa Belkin)</a> |

Splat,
I was reading that the other day. A very well done article. Too bad it won't even fall upon the ears that would be deaf to it. |
