Default American Society of Zoologists Membership

Are there any folks here that were members of the American Society of Zoologists before it changed its name to the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology? The reason I ask is, I came across a biography of a creationist 'biologist', Gary Parker, Ed.D (I know, its an education degree), which says he was 'elected' a member of the ASZ, 'for his work on tadpoles' . The current executive director of the SICB says he is unaware of any procedure for election of members in the ASZ--as far as he knew membership was always open. Can anyone here confirm that? BTW, Parker is no longer an active member--I think, if he was a member, it was in the 60's.
