Hello bruce1,

Allow me to suggest that you do a little research by scrolling through the topics in this forum as well as general religion (which is where your other post is located) and church/state separation to see if anything looks like it might pertain to your subject. Then read through the thread to see what you can glean from it. You can also use the search function (look at the upper right hand portion of your screen) to search the different fora for key words.

Also, in the secular lifestyle and support forum you'll be able to find individuals recounting how religion has had a negative impact on their lives.

There's a wealth of information readily available to you here - and doing the research will be good experience for your scholastic activities in the future.

Once you get a rough draft of your article written you may want to solicit comments on it - but please put it into a forum that most closely aligns with the thrust of your argument.

For example, if you are taking religion to task as not providing a sound moral basis to society, then MF&P may be a good place to post the draft. If you think that you'll do a more political basis then C/SS would probably be better. If you take a more general stance then general religion might be more appropriate.

cheers,
Michael

You could do an entire article on religion's history of being against science.
