Post my favourite piece of evidence for evolution

well actually its a series of evidences which fall under a general category.

<a href="http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/molgen/" target="_blank">http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/molgen/</a>

all you do is ask a creationist or IDist to explain the evidence contained in the faq. I've never seen a satisfactory explanation yet. Usually they just change the subject or ignore you.

So any creationists out there - do you have an explanation for this evidence? because ToE has an excellent one

certainly I can, very simply. Chimps and Humans share a common ancestor. It explains the evidence perfectly. I know its not new evidence, which makes me wonder why creationists haven't come up with an explanation for it yet?

addendum: as it adresses more than just chimp and human DNA i'll just add that where-ever homology exists in LINE and ALU repeats and other various bits of junk DNA, the explanation is common descent

I am awaiting more results on the 7 myo skull found recently. It's currently gatting a peer review that is short of the Spanish Inqusition only by degree. I was amused and not a little astonished to hear the emminent paolentologist (chuckle), Pat Robertson declare it to be from a female gorilla. From the writings I've seen thus far, this MIGHT be a hominid, transitional fossil. Yet to be proved, of course.

As far as transitional fossils go, there are a wealth of them. Archaopterix (sp?) is probably the best known, but I like the Devonian species of Icthyostega and Acantostega. Links:

And, for something a bit more modern than our Devonian ancestors:

Good reading.
