Talking Jesus was a crayfish

Second coming!

Quote:
A mysterious species of crayfish discovered in German aquaria can reproduce without mating1. It could pose a serious threat to their European freshwater cousins, new research shows.

It's too late to ban the creatures, experts think. But efforts should be made to prevent their accidental release. "The public should be alerted," urges crayfish researcher Gerhard Scholtz of the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Scores of the 8-centimetre-long female crayfish, distinguished by their marble-patterned shells, appeared in the German aquarium trade in the 1990s. Rumours of virgin births soon began to circulate among amateur aquarists.

In addition to the similarity of the "virgin birth", crawdads are good to eat, as well. Crackers and a good, red wine go nice with a plate of mudbugs.

Talking

Hmmm, Humor or GRD? (Pity we don't have a Fine Dining forum, isn't it? )

Let's make it Humor. (I rarely get to move stuff there.)

For a totally serious post? I wasn't suggesting JC on a stick! Could there be some divine and cosmic meaning only accessible through revalation that shows when life reaches a state of Nirvana it becomes a hermaphrodite (do to thyself what you would do unto others) and spontaneously reproduces. It would explain a few gaps in the world's major religions, wouldn't it. Or maybe the moderator's a crawfish and I've really offended it.

Cheers, John

I saw a movie in my evolution class about a species of salamander that also reproduces asexually. Does this mean that one of these species is really the antichrist?

I find this post very amusing yet interesting at the same time...

I have heard several accounts of people seeing their "Guardian Angels"; however, when described by these people, they sound very much like flying Jellyfish. Jellyfish produce asexually as well.
